Calm ocean after a storm, soft light breaking through clouds

After Her Storm

The Lighthouse

"A lighthouse doesn't stop the storm. It helps someone find their way through it."

The Vision

What We're Building

The Lighthouse is the long-term vision of After Her Storm — a trusted resource hub where girls and families in the middle of hard seasons can find guidance, connection, and hope.

We are not building a counseling center. We are building a bridge. A place that meets people where they are and walks with them toward what they need — whether that's a therapist, a mentor, a safe home, or simply someone who listens.

We are in the founding phase. The Lighthouse is not yet open. But every step we take right now — every relationship built, every dollar raised, every story heard — is laying the foundation.

Built on Four Commitments

What the Lighthouse will be

A Place to Find Direction

When a girl or family doesn't know where to turn, the Lighthouse will be a first stop — a trusted guide to the right resources, people, and next steps.

A Community of Care

The Lighthouse will be built on relationships — volunteers, mentors, counselors, and advocates who show up with compassion and consistency.

Grounded in Faith

After Her Storm is faith-rooted. The Lighthouse will serve every girl regardless of background, and will always offer the hope that comes from being known and loved.

Connected to the Community

We will not try to do everything ourselves. The Lighthouse will be a connector — partnering with existing organizations, counselors, and community leaders to serve girls well.

Founding Phase

Where We Are Now

After Her Storm is in Phase One — listening, learning, and building the foundation carefully. We are not yet a registered 501(c)(3). We are a founding team with a clear vision, a growing community, and a deep conviction that this work matters.
